Forecast top of 43°C AGAIN!! And 40°C again tomorrow! But luckily there's a cool change and it's only going to be 25°C on Sunday. Hooray!

The cool change has come through and it is beautiful. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the country. We have 60% of Queensland declared a disaster zone due to flooding and in the last 48 hours there has been 750 homes destroyed and 108 people dead in bushfires throughout Victoria, which was most likely deliberately lit. Fires thoughout New South Wales as well. I'm so glad I'm not on the east coast at the moment.

I'm sure you've seen on the news about the disaster in Victoria. 181 now confirmed dead as of this morning, possibly another 100 still to recover.

I hope the fires are put out soon too, they've been burning for a week now. We just need to keep an eye out here in SA now that's it's so dry.

Sunny and in the 20's. It's still winter. We might get a sizeable snowstorm on Wednesday. I fully expected more of snow yet, even some in March.

It's been cold here in recent days too! Not nearly 6 degrees - but mid teens is cold enough for me!
Bright sunny skies but COLD! But it's supposed to warm up over the weekend but then get cold for the week again.
Come on March! I could certainly use some warmth! My knee certainly doesn't the cold temps!

It's a balmy 60 degrees here in Ft. Riley, KS. But they are calling for snow tonight and below freezing temps tomorrow! I wanna go back to Hawaii! lol

Hiya Everyone! It was nice here earlier this week, then it got cold again. Not so much temperature wise as much as the wind-chill instead. 
We are in the last week of February now. That gives us about 6 more weeks or so left of cold weather. I will admit that sometimes it is colder than I would like through the end of May though.

Hi Everyone! We barely managed to get through the 10 day power outage ICE storm here in KY. (very eerie) Then we had high wind warnings for a couple days, then we had thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches (just a couple days ago) and today is SNOW! And the Sandhill Cranes have been flying north for all this time too. They want out of here. I am so looking forward to spring and cleaning out the barns to the garden. Nice to meet you all! I've posted, but not in this weather chat thread.

Hi! Our weather man said this was the LAST of the cold for the season. We-shall-see. I do hope so. I so love digging in my gardens and feeling the sunshine. March 1 is just around the next corner. Don't think I could handle the cold of Boston. Cindy

Yeah, it does get quite cold here sometimes. I always have to wonder which is worse, 30 degrees with a 0 degree wind-chill or 0 degrees with no wind-chill? Honestly the wind-chill at 30 degrees is probably not as bad, but still very cold none the less!

Hey all!
just a bit of snow on the ground around here anymore.
but it's cold, but we are expecting a warm up to expected seasonal temps by the end of the week.
I'm expecting a storm. Why? Because my preteen daughter woke up this morning incredibly moody and crying at the drop of a hat!
