Status: offline 		OK. I've had lots and lots of people request to be my friends. I've even successfully added soemof them. But the system doesn't seem to like me and won't let me talk to these people. So please forgive me if you've not been added yet. Still trying to figure out how it works (and I admit I don't go there often at all)

I was watching a movie last night enjoying some pizza with friends when I was like, "Oh my gosh!!!! I forgot to feed Bella and Esme! They are probably dead by now!!!"

Of course everyone was panicking...and trying to figure out who Bella and Esme were. I have a Build A Bear leopard named Esmee but obviously she wasn't going to die anytime soon.

I have two foo pets! LOL! Bella is a dog and Esme is a cat. Because of my work schedule when I get home they're both starving for food and attention.

Not to mention all of mah happy flairs. And the pics of me and the Things on there. I love showing off my Things.

They're cute kids! Especially since Thing 1 looks just like me. Tee hee. Poor kid.

Your not missing anything. They are virtual pets that you have to "take care of".

I don't get into that kind of thing. I started out with a myspace because I wanted to make sure my kids were safe on the site as I allowed them to have accounts with the agreement that I had the right to check in on them at any time and if I found anything objectionable I would ask them to remove it or extoll the virtues of being safe on line so they had to accept me as their friend. Really I didn't do this to often and my kids were great about this. When I was active in the youth ministry I found it a wonderful tool to help mentor other teens.

Then face book became popular and so I migrated to there for the same reasons and found not just the teens from church but the adults from church were hiding out there and then I found half of my very large family on there. It is great. We know more about what is going on in eachothers lives then we every had which is a total blessing since we are so spread out. I don't spend much time on there. I go on when someone writes on my wall or requests an update. Then I get caught up and it may be another week or more before I get on there. I do a little more over the summer but not much.

I agree crosswalk can keep a person very busy, but it is also nice to get to know some of these people outside of crosswalk a little better because you get to see more than one side of them. I am very selective in who I accept as a friend so unless I know their name or recognize their face I don't accept friend requests. It keeps the written activity on my wall down to those that I truley want to keep up with at the top of the stack so I don't have to spend hours weeding through a bunch of messages that don't impact me. I think of it as a written form of the answering machine this way.

Okay...you're only TWO years older than me so you're not old.



And secondly, foo pets are on Facebook, flairs are the buttons that people have in their avatars (like mine), and Build A Bear is a workshop where you can go and build your own stuffed animals and then buy clothes for it. If I remember tomorrow night I'll take a couple of pics of all of mine (I think we have 7 right now) and show them to you. It's blocked here or I would show you the site.

We'll have a few new ones if our guests so desire to go there this week.

The Things are what I call my children Thing 1 will be 13 next month and Thing 2 is 9. They're boys and completely worthy of their nicknames...LOL
