I uploaded a gif image, and it was accepted, but I cannot figure out how to get it to display under my name in my posts. Can anyone help me with this?

The picture won't display until you have had 50 posts... which may not take long...[:)]

Yep--fifty posts are required to use a custom avatar.

Until you get there, you may use one of the stock avatars that are available.

Ok, I now have more than 50 posts, and it still doesn't display. I can see it if I look at my profile, but it won't display in my posts. So what am I doing wrong?

I usually use FireFox, but I occasionally use explorer as well.

Right now, it seems as if that part of the profile page is broken. As you can see from my missing avatar, it's not working, and all that is showing is a broken link. I can't even get the site to just not display an avatar at all.
