If you are a Star Trek fan, you will know that the Romulans are an offshoot of the Vulcan's. Well what you do not know is that the Klingons also had an offshoot. Way back in the early history of the Klingon home world, there was a race of Klingons called the Midgons. They looked just like a Klingon, they had the heart of a Klingon, but where only half the size of Klingons. They were Klingon midgets. They suffered such ridicule from their Klingon brothers that eventually they had to leave the Klingon world and find their own place in the Galaxy. Just so you understand the magnitude of this ridicule. At the hight of the Midgon persecution, a book was written called, “101 Ways To insult a Midgon.” That book became an instant best seller. Inspired by that book, another Klingon wrote a book called, “101 Games You Can Play Using A Midgon.” That became even more successful. To cash in on the the Midgon insulting craze, another Klingon wrote, “Size Does Matter.” Those three very popular books cemented the fate of all Midgons. It became a Klingon favourite pastime to ridicule a Midgon. So the Midgons said goodbye to their Klingon brothers and found another planet as far away from the Klingon home world as possible. There they could live in peace without fear of ridicule. Their problems did not stop there, but just took another route. You see the Midgons were so eager to prove their courage, because of the mental trauma of being so mercilessly the butt of every Klingon joke, that all you had to do was dare them to set themselves on fire, and they would do it just to prove that they were not afraid of anything. This almost destroyed them entirely, because they would just go around daring each other to do stupid things to prove their courage. When the race was almost entirely wiped out, a wise Midgon by the name of Peklah, wrote a book called, “Size Doesn't Matter.” It showed the remaining Midgons that its the size of a warriors heart that matters not their physical stature. This book saved the race from extinction, and over the millennia they finally decided to venture out into the galaxy again. Thus the Midgon empire revealed itself to the galaxy. Although they were only half the size of a normal Klingon they were twice as aggressive. So they attacked anything that moved, without any hint of mercy and so now the Federation has a new enemy.
