Eph 2:10: For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

I thought it would be interesting to start a post of what you think God's plans are for you and your life. I know only God knows the real plans, since He is the one who has prepared them, but it will still be fun to see what we all think. And who knows, maybe God has revealed His plans to some of us here!

If we are walking in the light of His word, and responding to the promptings of His Spirit in us, then we should to some degree know about His plans ongoing;

Jn 15: 14 - 16 "You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name."

God revealing His will to us is wholey dependant on us walking closely with Him in obedience.

I have been a Christian for 11 years, within the initial 18 months I found myself at theological college with no clue as to why I was there. It was only after I had finally graduated that the Lord revealed to me that He wanted me to be a pastor. It has taken another 6 years for Him to get me to the pulpit of His choosing, where I have been for the last 2 years, but each step of the way He kept me informed and on track. Praise the Lord!!

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving thanks.

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

God's plan for me? It appears I must be a thorn in the side of weak faltering Christians who eagerly submit to the teachings of other weak Christians.

We have been taught baby's milk for so many decades, the MEAT of the Word of God is hard to stomach.

And here is the meat: We all have family, friends, and neighbors who do do not know the Lord. Some have even passed on to sleep where they await the final judgement. We Christians will also be judged and given crowns, or not. I think that way too many Christians will escape the fires of hell only by the skin of our teeth.

God says, "I gave you my Word. I gave you my instruction to go and make desciples. I placed you among family, friends, and neighbors who need the Words I gave to you. What hindered your witness? Why did you ignore the lost? Where was your faith and love of God, family, friends, and neighbors?"

1Co 3:13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work.
1Co 3:14 If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.
1Co 3:15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

We must stick close to the Truth, the meat, and trust not the wisdom of man. Take up your cross and march forward and hopefully those marching beside you will increase and God will bless our efforts and renew our families and our land.

Blessings,
Rusty

I wish I knew so that I could stop wasting time and stay up all day and night doing it instead of what I'm doing now...sounds like I need more prayer and meditation...or maybe I just need to get out and be of service.

At least I have a clearer picture of what I am NOT meant to do :)
