*Sigh.* This will be the last post I write for this particular thread.  I seem to have opened a Pandora's box with my question; clearly this is not the place to discuss the issues underlying my marriage problems.  I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.  My intent was not to cause trouble but to get a simple answer for what I thought was a simple question.  Yes, I am ignorant about many things.  I am trying to remedy that.  I will get a counselor for myself as soon as possible.  I bear no ill will against any of you, but I would like this thread to be closed as soon as possible.  Thank you.

Only the mods can close a thread so you'll have to ask them about that.

Your post came just after mine so I'm wondering if I said something that offended you? I certainly didn't mean to cause any harm. I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time and hope that everything works out for you.

Peregrine, I don't think anybody here was offended by you.

I would imagine, though, that everyone who posted didn't feel like this was a simple question with a simple answer or a simple categorization of Bad Guy and Victim.

I hope you both get the help you need, and wish you well!

Pegegrin1972, actually this is as good a place as any to discuss such issues. Yes, you will find some posters become highly emotional and judgmental. Some you will find think their opinions are better than everyone else because God is on their side, not anyone elses. Just ignore those posts and listen to the posts from people who really are trying to understand where you are coming from and give advice without being so judgmental. I hope you saw some helpful suggestions on this thread from many of us.

I understand your desire to close the thread. Though it would be nice if it could stay open to help others in your situation.
