It was just a Christmas Angel, that my Mom put on our tree. She bought it at a five and dime, when I was only three. Each year we'd trim our Christmas tree, with lights and ornaments. Then Mom would always tell me, what the Angel represents. The Angels came to tell the shepherds, of the Christ Child's birth. And, Angels are still here with us, to guide us here on earth. The Angel on our Christmas tree, was made in such a way. That if the light inside burned out, you just threw it away. The light burned out when I was twelve, the Angel would not shine. But, Mom would not throw it away, she said it looked just fine. She loved that little Angel, that she put upon our tree. She said it didn't need a light, for anyone to see. Then I grew up, and I moved out to start my family. And, I'd go home at Christmas time, to help her trim her tree. My wife and children went with me, to mom's house every year. The house was filled with love and joy, as we shared Christmas cheer. The kids would always say to her, "The Angel is burned out." Then, she would smile and tell them, what the Angel's all about. She told another reason, for it's specialty. Your daddy picked that Angel out, when he was only three. My mother passed away this year, early in the spring. And then I had the painful task, of going through her things. The beautiful old house she owned, was left me in her will. We moved back in the summertime, we feel her in it still. Early in December, we brought out our Christmas tree. I went up to the attic, just to see what I could see. I saw a cardboard box, with markings, "Ornaments and stuff." And in it was the little Angel, that she loved so much. I brought the cardboard box downstairs, and showed the family. Then they persuaded me to put the Angel on our tree. We trimmed the tree that weekend, and we talked of Christmas past. Then when the tree was finally done, the Angel went on last. Every night till Christmas, all the lights were burning bright. Except the little Angel, that had long burned out her light. Then on Christmas morning, I arose before the rest. I had to have my coffee, to be at my very best. I walked into the living room, my coffee cup in hand. Then what I saw, so puzzled me, I could not understand. I just stood in silence, as, my eyes filled up with tears. The little angel was all aglow, that had been dark for many years. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Poems and Writings of James A. Kisner (PoppyK1) are copyrighted. T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS by Clement Clarke Moore 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there; The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads; And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled down for a long winter's nap, When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below, When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer, With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name; "Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the house-top the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my hand, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack. His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose; He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night." Merry Christmas to you and your families from Diane, Jim, Nick and Jon Tavegia

Happy Tuesday Evening to Everyone! I hope you've had a nice day. I spent most of my day making my turkey stock and two lobster pots full of turkey vegetable soups. One is already in the freezer and we had some for supper. Great for sinus complaints! Well the presents are all put away and we've played games and even attempted to build the CSI 'face' over the 'skull' with clay. Fun but difficult. Thankfully, the clay never hardens so we can do it over and over. Wow, what warm weather we're having! It's going to be 60 -70° most days and cool nights for sleeping. I much prefer fall, winter and spring to these horrible Georgia summers and I'm determined to find an answer to my red clay problem in our backyard. Between our whole house fan and open windows, the house fills with red dust. I told Jim I've found the true location of hell. Our house is built directly over it and all this dust is ashes. I only have 2 daycare children this week and only one tomorrow. The CF baby has his monthly shot at Scottish Rites. His father has a job interview on Thursday at a company which provides great insurance. I'd love to see his mommy be able to quit work and spend her time with him. We just don't know how he'll do or how long he'll live. I'd never want her to regret missing a minute with baby. Next week I'll have all the infants and the four year old. He's not adjusted well to the babies and his mother is expecting. He's always been spoiled and is quite demanding now. As soon as I warm a bottle, he wants me NOW. Good practice for before mom comes home with a newborn. Anyhow, next week will be 3 infants all 6 days apart in age. Two girls and Jeremiah. The four year old comes at 5:45. Jeremiah and Mikayla will be at 6:30 and Sadie comes at 7:50. No going back to sleep for me! I do dread that terribly! I've been getting up at 5:30 for almost 2 years now but could go back to sleep before. Other children would come as late as 10:00. Yawn....... I'm just too old for these early mornings! Well, the year is slowly coming to an end and it's not long before Nick and I turn a year older (Uncabeeil, too). We realized our bath scales are six pounds UNDER so bought a new digital set yesterday and started diets today. I've told Jim I'll easily lose 20 lbs before HE does. He's had cookies twice today, pumpkin pie and a bowl of cereal after supper. I've had an English muffin with a tiny amount of peanut butter for breakfast with two cups of tea with less sugar and then turkey soup with a couple of crackers for supper. I also had a few Pepsi's but that's IT! I just refuse to wear size 12 at my height! It's lose weight or go nekkid! I hope everyone has a lovely and SAFE New Year's Eve and that the New Year brings many blessings and great peace.

Happy Birthday to our Nick! Nick was born to our daughter, Erin, 11 years ago on Dec. 29th, my 44th birthday. What a wonderful present he was, too! I'd always wanted 4 children but when our second and third were 15 months apart, hubby chose to have a vasectomy. I never guessed God would give me the desire of my heart and at such a wonderful time. Our children were 23, 19 and 17 when he was born. Erin gave him up for adoption and we legally became his mom and dad when he was less than 10 months old. He's been with us his whole life and I forget I didn't actually 'give birth' to him. He's such a tall kid. Almost as tall as me! His birth father, who gave up parental rights and never wants to hear from him, was very tall and thin. Our daughter is a tiny bit shorter than me! So..... Thursday Nick is one year closer to being a teenager. Happy Birthday Nick. His email is nicktavegia@bellsouth.net if anyone wants to send him a card. Other than that, today seems to have lasted forever and it's not quite supper time. We're under a tornado watch but the sun is out and it's 61°. We don't have AWANA again until next Wednesday so no children activities tonight at church. I ended up with no daycare children because Ty had been sick all night, mom brought him anyhow and before she could even get to work, he'd thrown up all over. I was in the shower when he came to tell me the news. YUK! So.... I cleaned carpet, scrubbed floors and lots more just trying to undo his damage. Poor little fella. Hope mom stays home with him tomorrow so he doesn't make us all sick. Have a lovely evening and God Bless, Diane

Thank you all for your cards and birthday wishes! We had a very nice day. Jim took Nick to Chuck E. Cheese's for a long afternoon and Uncle Jon bought Nick a PS2 game and a wireless controller. Erin had sent him $20. to spend on anything he wants. I got a number of BEAUTIFUL outfits from Old Navy! Jon got me a cream sweater shirt with buttons down the front and a herringbone patterned gold and cream skirt to match. He also got me a gorgeous, boat necked black sweater and black pin striped dress pants to match. Then he got me two turtlenecks, green and gray, with some new style jeans to match. Erin got me a picture of the grandkids in a primitive frame and a new novel I'd been wanting to read. I only had one daycare child today so it was pretty quiet while the boys were all out for the day. I turned off the t.v. and did some laundry, played with the dog and read lots of posts. I also chatted online with my Dad and step Mom. I got calls from a couple of local friends and then later got a call from our son in law and granddaughters in Connecticut. Our daughter is still working and was so upset, afraid we'd go to bed before she could call us. So, our 5 year old granddaughter, Eden, is telling me that you're not supposed to say Merry Christmas because people might celebrate Kwanza or Hannukah. She also was told not to wear red and green or holiday styled outfits. They were to wish people 'Happy Winter'. Public School.... Wallingford, Conn. Rolling my eyes here! Our granddaughter, Kaylee, who'll be 3 in May has started climbing on everything. Her dad is freaking out. He said he can't turn his head and he'll find she's climbed on the computer desk or will jump off the sofa, landing with her legs bent and on her knees. He's so afraid she's going to harm her legs. Me too! She's turned into a real chatterbox now that her sister is in school half days, kindergarten. The girls have had a hard time with who we are since they see their other grandparents every day. Eden has taken to calling me 'my mommies Grandma' because Erin will say 'want to talk to Grandma? It's MY mommie'. Kaylee sometimes calls me 'Nick's mommie'. It's hard for them to understand that Nick is their half brother so we just chat away like it's no big deal and make it so matter of fact. Our son in law, Joe, holds up pictures of who they're talking to to help them understand it's not his parents. I talked to Jack (Jackson), our grandson who'll be 3 on Jan. 3rd, earlier in the week because of work schedules. He's SO smart! Loves Thomas the Tank Engine. I need to upload new pictures of them all. Jon's looking at buying a 2005 red Mustang GT with some fancy black leather or something extra. There's some great bargains out there right now and he's got such a great job. Wish he could find a nice girl to marry but I think he'll be home for a few years. It's good for Nick because Jim and I aren't able to do some things you younger parents can do and Jon will stay up half the night playing PS2 with Nick. They call each other 'brother' even tho Jon is both uncle and step brother. Only in the south, eh??? LOL Well, tomorrow will be the same as today but with another child and then a long weekend. Tuesday another baby girl starts. She'll be here at 6:30, same as Jeremiah. Ty will be back to his 5:45 arrival and Sadie won't start back until Thursday and at 7:30 ish. I have GOT to start going to bed earlier! It's just so nice having less people in the house and nothing to do, that I want to stay up and enjoy it! We ended up taking off these two weeks from our homeschooling. Jon is on vacation so Nick has really enjoyed him being home. Jim had off just the usual holidays. We're almost halfway through our school year tho so no rush. We could end by May 18th if we wanted and don't skip any days. I need to start saving for our BJUP 6th grade curriculum. Erin's bought a good bit for us the last 2 years. I've picked up a good bit off eBay tho. I'm doing pretty good on my diet. I had an English Muffin with a tiny bit of margarine and peanut butter with 2 cups of tea (less sugar than usual). I had no lunch but did sneak 3 pieces of those 'orange slices' that are made of jelly bean type stuff. 40 calories each. I had Turkey and Dumpling casserole for supper. My weight this morning was the same as yesterday but that's still down one pound. Thanks again for the birthday wishes to both me and our Nick. He was so thrilled to get so many e-cards and see the wishes on the birthday thread. Lots of his church friends are away but remembered him too. Matthew 6:22 "Your eye is a lamp for your body. A pure eye lets sunshine into your soul. 23 But an evil eye shuts out the light and plunges you into darkness. If the light you think you have is really darkness, how deep that darkness will be!

Can you believe it's January 2006? Wow, this year went FAST! Today went fast also. We had a wonderful sermon by our Minister to Youth, Bro. Jon Price. There was no room at our altar because of so many going to pray, we had four join our church and two come to profess Jesus and seek baptism! I had 2 kids in Sunday School. We had less in service today than Christmas Day! I'm guessing all the fireworks at midnight.... No excuse guys! Well, we took down our outside Christmas decorations today. It's still 55° and was a lovely mid 60°'s most of the day. Nick rode his mini bike for a while and then played with some kids from next door. I listed a lot of things on www.freecycle.org again today and have already had them 'spoken for'. Of course, it was things like a telescope, a Veggie Tale soft insulated lunch box, a Looney Toon Kid's Briefcase, a Shark Swim Vest from Safety First, extra silverware baskets from my old dishwashers and some plastic storage containers, baby food jars and coffee cans. I've got a lot of things to list tomorrow. There's a bag of toys and odd things in our big storage closet off our rec room. Need to hit that next! I really like the 'sharing' concept instead of yard sales. We had our blackeyed peas and turnip greens for luck along with steak for supper. I did eat a little more than usual today but had forgotten to weigh myself before breakfast and STILL had lost another pound. Down to 143.5 AFTER eating. Goodie Goodie for me! I got into a new outfit I got for my birthday and got lots of compliments at church. Well, there's no school for another week here in town but we'll begin our homeschooling again. We are two days shy of half a year's worth of schooling and that's a fun milestone. I had another call about doing child care today but turned them down. It was part time for two boys with special needs. They're ages 2 and 4. With a four year old and two special need infants already, I felt it was wrong to accept these children and not be able to give my best. Sure could have used the money but I feel sure God will honor my honesty. Hope everyone has a lovely evening and a great day off tomorrow! The rain has already moved in here so we'll not spend any time outside tomorrow but with no daycare kids, I just may get me a NAP! God Bless! Diane Tavegia

Isn't this just the most peaceful picture? I love looking at beautiful scenes like this. Well somebody's grumpy today in our house and it's not ME! I've had a pretty productive day. We had a big roast for supper and I've really watched my calories. I only had an English Muffin with margarine and peanut butter (less than a tsp. each) with tea for breakfast, two Pepsi's and mostly vegetables for supper. I only ate a teeny bit of meat. I went through part of our big storage closet and put SO many items on www.freecycle.org I gave away 2 Brown Plastic file holders, a Brother Bear CD Music Sountrack, a Karaoke tape, a McCall's Pattern, a Mr. Potato Head Sheriff Spud, a Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001 PC, a Shrek 2 MUSIC CD, a Terri Blackstock 'The Gifted', a The Incredibles PC-CD rom PRINT STUDIO, 3 PC games for Windows 95/98 and a Mystery Box filled with small toys for little boys. I'd been saving up for a yard sale but like this much better. I label bags and leave them out so if I'm busy, no one even has to knock. We did have 2 children come up to thank us for the telescope today. Hope everyone is having a nice evening. Hubby has retreated to our bedroom to watch football. We were disturbing his television viewing. Rolling my eyes here but keeping my mouth shut, LOL! Nick accidentally knocked over his PC game CD rack and is picking all those up before bed. He'd stayed up with Jon til after 1:00 a.m. last night playing games on the PS2. Naughty boys! I hate football. I always dread football season because I can't watch any t.v. during the games. We have only one receiver and a VERY old dish our son gave us for Christmas about 8 or 9 years ago. Every t.v. has to be on the same channel. I've watched all our movies so many times, too. Oh well. Good reason to clean closets, eh? My weeks get so mixed up when we have a Monday off! I am looking forward to a four day week, tho. Nick is having a church friend over one day. The rule is he has to have his room cleaned and the rec room in our downstairs too. Here's pictures of our rec room. Click to view HERE The other half of the room has the pool table, air hockey, foos ball table and my craft / sewing area. I don't have a picture of it. Other side of the room, click to view HERE It's not as neat, tonight but the daycare kids didn't clean up their toys well last week. Everything has a place and the four year old likes to stuff things in any box. Rule is, he can't play with them again until he puts them away properly so no Thomas the Tank Engine tomorrow until he gets the Power Rangers out and puts them in THEIR box. Well, hubby came back in here. I walked the dog and put him to bed. Nick had a bowl of ice cream and picked up his CD roms so he's set. The stars are out and the tornado / thunderstorm watch has been lifted. Guess I'll give my mother a call. Our daughter worked late tonight. Take care and God Bless! For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom He paid was not mere gold or silver. 19 He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 20 God chose Him for this purpose long before the world began, but now in these final days, He was sent to the earth for all to see. And He did this for you. 1 Peter 1:18 Diane Tavegia

Ah Tuesday's....... Almost halfway through the week! Good Evening Everyone! Another busy day around here but I managed to sneak in a 45 minute nap. I'd napped too long yesterday and ended up being awake for several hours during the night, last night. Our daughter was off today so we got to visit on the phone a couple of times. She works so many hours supporting her family. Her husband won't look for work outside radio and has been out of work for about 9 months or more. Thankfully, Erin is making really great money! I only had 2 daycare children today and got called about doing 2 days care for 2 older children from our church. It happens to be days that I have not only ALL my daycare children, but days Nick is having friends over to visit. The church kids are at ages they need to be watched and would not be the right age to play with Nick and his guests nor the four year old I keep. I'm learning to say 'no', even when the money would be helpful. We're very blessed to have nice days and chilly nights. I don't even have our heat on the last few days. The house is insulated well enough that it stays near 70° inside even when it's low 40°'s at night. That's a blessing, with gas being so high! We had beef stew for supper and enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Hubby had to make 'phone calls' for a few hours at work an hour away so Nick and I ate early and Jim ate when he got in. He's watching football now. He was quite upset about this forced overtime with no pay. I was quite excited to weigh only 142 lbs today. That's a loss of 3.5 pounds since Dec. 27th when we got our new scales. I want to be down to 119 - 124 lbs within a month or so. I'm only watching portions and NO snacks or eating after supper. That was my downfall. I've also not had any junk foods during the day and am quite careful what I eat. I almost ate a potato chip that fell off Nick's plate when I was making lunches today. I put it in my mouth and then quickly took it out and threw it away. That was a few calories I didn't really want! I had my weeks mixed up so there is no AWANA tomorrow night either! I am surprised that our school systems had off from Dec. 16th through Jan. 9th and then off again Jan. 16th. No wonder they start August 1st! What a waste! Spring Break is in March and school is out the last of May. I'm really looking forward to the summer tho, for one reason. I won't have one of the infants and the child I've had for years will be fazing out and heading to school. He's the 5:45 child! OUCH! Eventually hubby wants me to have NO children to keep. I've already promised a church mom that I'll watch her two boys for June and July. They're four and 7 and I've had them in Sunday School. They are REAL boys and will be a chore but maybe, just maybe, I can save up and replace all the carpet in our home when I stop child care. Between kids spilling things, peeing on the floor and throwing up on everything..... and then there was Dubbs, who died a year ago November. Poor Dubbs, toward the end, would try to make it to his litter box but would dribble along the way. Poor guy tried so hard. We ended up adding boxes in each room and then keeping him in smaller areas. He'd start down the stairs and not be able to move anymore. I still miss him, wet spots and all. Oh and Scooter! He's SO good! He almost never has a potty accident and he's only 7 months old! If the boys are playing rough and he goes to the door but is ignored, he'll run back and forth fussing. Of course, the guys wait for ME to take him out and sometimes he will dribble a little... but almost never now. So, it's time for new carpet! Our t.v. / computer room needs it the most and it's the smallest room in the house. I'm beginning to try and come up with solutions for our back yard. The back portion is all trees and is a thin layer of black dirt right over roots. That's not so bad. The area closer to the house has grass and then that awful red clay which blows in and covers everything, comes in on clothes and shoes and cannot be removed! I hate Georgia red clay! Give me 10 feet of snow anytime! Well, I've rambled as usual but with one guy watching football, one playing PS2 and one at work, it's all a girl can do! Have a lovely evening and God bless! Can't you just imagine how quiet it is on this farm? Oh I miss the snow! Well it's a balmy 56° here in Villa Rica, Georgia tonight. Scooter is stretched out on the sofa, Jim is watching a football game, Nick is playing his PS2 in his room and Jon's working. I've gotten the kitchen cleaned, clothes folded and put away and I've taken down all the REAL Christmas wall hangings and picked up the snowmen or figurines that don't 'live' out all year round. I kept out my cute winter snowmen tho. Don't ask about the trees! I just can't bring myself to take them down. I THINK I'll attempt one tomorrow. Not the formal tree tho.... I've got boxes for Jim to carry down two flights of stairs and into the storage area in front of the garage. Christmas is just over too quickly! I love the season so very much. I had a hectic day! A drip from our hot water heater had caused some concern and the repairman was to come between 8 -12. He showed up around 11:00, whacked it with a wrench and 'no charge'. I had no hot water til then, tho. A little gasket on the pressure relief valve had jiggled loose. Ah... side thought, two nights ago, Jon came home from a friends house and when he pushed the remote to open my side of the garage, the breaker tripped and put out the electric in our t.v. room and downstairs. Jim just threw it back and it's not repeated itself. I didn't have anything unusal running! Just the computer, t.v. and the light. Hmmmm... Our Cook's Pest Control guy came today. Sam is a GREAT Christian guy and we had a long discussion and time of sharing. He's such a neat guy. We'd gotten him a 'Purpose Driven Life' book for Christmas. He'd wanted one but had a friend who was a new Christian so bought one and gave it to his friend. Our church has extras..... I had 2 daycare children today, but Jeremiah had to see his kidney specialist so mommie picked him up right after 12:00. A woman I'd given some things to through Freecycle came by for a visit and then baby Sadie and her mommie came by with a playmat so mom won't have so much to carry in tomorrow morning. They stayed for about an hour to visit. Ty's mommie was very late picking him up and he got pretty worried after seeing all the other children leave hours before he did. He was quite sure she had forgotten him. There were no activities at church tonight for kids or even choir. Jim did go up to prayer meeting but got waylaid wiring something for our minister of music. Tomorrow and Friday I'll have both infants and Ty, and on Friday Nick is having a church friend over for the day. Nick's really looking forward to it. Next week I return to Ty coming at 5:45. That's not going to last much longer. It's just too hard on me and his mother had told me two years ago to let her know if it overwhelmed me. We're hoping Jim will be changing hours soon and not having to travel an hour to work. I'm very proud to say my weight loss is going well. Today I had 3 cups of tea and a boiled egg before weighing and had lost another pound since yesterday! So, 141 lbs today and working toward 124 lbs or less. Hubby's not lost any and we were having a contest. I knew he wouldn't try! LOL, my new size 10 blue jeans I got for my birthday are slipping off my hips. Next time I'm washing them in HOT water and drying them on HOT. I've lost 4.5 pounds since we bought the new scales on Dec. 27th. Seventeen pounds to go! Nick got a birthday card from a precious couple in England and we both got belated birthday cards from friends at church. My mother forgot them. I'm used to it. Nick got his feelings hurt. Well, that's about everything that happened in the Tavegia household today. We've had some popcorn and Jim fed half of his to Scooter. Now Scooter is snoring on the sofa! I declare we need some doggie Breathe Right strips! I ate just a tiny bit of popcorn. I'm such a good girl! Hope everyone has a lovely evening and a lovely Thursday! It's almost the weekend! Yippee! Happy Thursday Evening to all..... Wow, Friday is just hours away and then the weekend! I'm really looking forward to some rest. I'm worn out! Today I had the two newborns and the four year old. Both infants were very good and the baby who doesn't eat well, eventually ate over 4 oz. for me! I was thrilled. They're both lovely infants. The infant with Cystic Fibrosis can appear to be in pain or feel bad at times but he's so pitiful then. The little girl is just itsy bitsy but SO funny and happy. The four year old I have had for so long is not happy with the infants arrival but his mommy is expecting this summer. Guess he'd better get used to it! Saturday is our son, Jon's, 29th birthday. Amazing! Boy can I remember the days he was born! I say days because of twenty two hours of back labor with no medication! OUCH! I had all my kids natural childbirth and forced our daughter to have Nick naturally, too. Hey! I was paying the bill! Speaking of back pain, I pulled a muscle in my shoulder/ neck area with the infants today and finally had to take aspirin. It sure does hurt. Breaking News! I finally took down one of our Christmas trees and put away some more of our true Christmas decor tonight. I took the one in our bedroom down. Nick really wanted to leave his up for his company tomorrow and the formal one is just too, too pretty and I enjoy it so much. Maybe next weekend? I sure am dreading going back to my 5:30 - 5:45 arrival next week. If hubby gets to change hours and distance, he won't have to get up til 7:30 or later. I'm going to talk to the early a.m. mom about her hours. It's about 6 months until summer.... and I just cannot keep doing this! 5:45, 6:30, 7:50...... arrivals... OUCH! What else? Oh, so Jon has a friend who got his brand new hunting jacket ripped this past weekend. A piece of material was even lost. Jon brags on my ability and brings home this coat for me to 'make it like new'. Well... with the missing chunk of fabric, I did the best I could but I can tell it was ripped and am not happy with the job. I talked to our daughter and youngest granddaughter for a while today. Kaylee likes to say, 'I love my Grandma! I do, I do, I do!' She sang her ABC's and some Veggie Tale songs for me. She'll be three in May. Big sister, Eden, was in school. Our grandson, Jackson (Jack) turned 3 two days ago. Not sure when they'll have his party. They live in Maryland and are sooooo busy. Jack is the cutest kid and so very smart! I have new pictures of them all but my scanner isn't being recognized by my computer. Between that and some problem with my camera software, I can't seem to get anything to upload! I just really need a new scanner/ fax machine. This one is old and has a line running through scanned items anyhow. Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful day and has an even better Friday. God Bless! Diane Tavegia “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.” James 3:14-17

Ah... the Weekend at last! I had 5 children total today and things went very smoothly except for poor baby Jeremiah. He's the Cystic Fibrosis baby. He cried and screamed all day. He had six horrible smelling diapers and lots of gas too. Nothing I could do would help. A friend came over for an hour and she tried, too. Jim came in and he got him quiet for about 5 minutes. I felt really sorry for him. Shucks! I broke about an inch off a fingernail and they're painted so pretty to match my new church outfit. Think I'll have it repaired tomorrow morning. I had such a horrible backache today! Maybe it's carrying the two babies or maybe it's from carrying down some decorations last night. I've had several doses of aspirin to try and help. I am SO sleepy! I can barely stay awake tonight. Supper is over. The kitchen is cleaned. I do have some things I'm thinking of changing tomorrow in the house. I have a wrought iron quilt rack that was given me but it's black. My furniture is white. Hope it warms up soon so I can paint. Well my eyes are closing and I am too tired to proof read so this is what you get folk! God Bless and remember............ Ezekiel 37:26 “And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will place them and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forever.” When all is said and done, I give you peace of mind. Diane Tavegia
