haha, never said I believed what she tought as "saving doctrine" the books I read are about coming up higher, breaking ties to sin and the like. From what was quoted from her it seems like she does teach false "saving doctrine" Some of what she was saying is right though. About power being in the tongue...

So you admit that she is wrong in her core doctrines or saving doctrines as you call them but you still think she has something worthwhile to say? Why?
If the Jesus she is preaching for salvation is wrong then the Jesus she is teaching you to get closer to is also the wrong one. The fact that she is wrong with the core doctrines means she has absolutly no right to be teaching anything, not to mention another glaring contradiction to scripture with her preaching . (but there is a whole other tread for that one)

I'm done posting in this thread. Way too many negative attitudes/mocking/belittling. I still do not know what she teaches as how to be saved. But there is no dispute that power is in the tongue. Life and death as the bible puts it :) I have plenty more to say but this thread isn't worth my time.

SD,

You mention Benny Hinn - there are a slew of teachings he has never recanted. Are you able to show us how, in that thread of course, his teachings are biblical?

Please correct me.

Sorry, I have no interest in debating all your false accusations, and it takes way too much time to hunt down the truth as I did with the Benny Hinn lie that you guys said he believes but that he racanted 17 years ago.

I just jumped in for a moment to save someone from the wolves in here.

False accusations?

And calling us wolves for posting documentation, nice. And yes, he recanted it but then years later taught it again. Why wasn't that part of your too much time?

But you said you have no interest, so good luck in allowing your brethren to continue paying heed to blasphemers of God and His Word.

SD,

This is from last fall. Or is that too far in the past too?

see no good reason for saying a person cannot live well when their ministry is doing well. If a person can be rich in any other profession, then why not this one? It makes no sense that a highly successful ministry means she should live on meagre wages just to look like someone of "integrity". Integrity doesn't mean living on scraps while the congregation of the world gets rich off her ministry. Integrity is doing right by God at all times and it doesn't come with a requirement of socioeconomic status.

She is a woman who says it like it is and respects the word and the Spirit in the life of christians. Amen to all the fruit that is coming out of that.

Amen! When I saw her name I knew I should not open this thread! I just can't stand listing to christians bashing their fellow brothers & sisters in the Lord! We wonder why the world dosn't want to be like us.

With all the brotherly love I can muster - have you even taken the time to see the teachings of Joyce that are severely problematic/at odds with Scripture?

Since you obviously have not taken the time to read through this thread, a thread that by the way, contains many references and examples of her heretical WoF theology, I would like to direct you to post #820 (the page before this).

Also, if you could please provide even ONE example of someone here "bashing" Ms Meyer, we would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, by the way, I've heard many more unbelievers tell me that if all Christians are like the "pulpit pimps" they see on TBN (including Joyce Meyer), then they want no part of it.

I like Joyce. I haven't seen anything negative of her. She seems to be well-off which is not sinful. After all she's in her 60s and after all those years do you expect her to be a broke.

There are things she does which I may not agree upon but I don't think we can always see things eye to eye.

She is doing lots of good things worldwide and she made great impact in my life. Bless her!!!

Could you take a moment to address the things Ms. Meyer has said that Soxfan took the time to outline in post #820?

I think we can't judge things in this way.

I know I judge people by how they live their life and to me well her personality is different than my personality. But I think many people don't like her bc she is a woman and the Bible says a woman is supposed to keep silent in the Church.

Let's not forget that this is the American culture that considers men and women are as equals.

Generally speaking, I like Joyce not bc she is perfect. I find her a woman of integrity, she is excellent Bible teacher.

I honestly haven't seen anybody who interprets the Bible in the way she does. Besides she gives us practical sound tips and advice about how to live our life.

So, you choose to ignore the fact that she preaches a false gospel because she looks good on the outside and has a great personality? Lord, help us!

ETA: Did you even bother to read this thread or the post I pointed out?

I listened to many of her teaching and did not notice anything false or out of scripture.

I read Sox post partly. But I honestly listened to one of those teachings and did not find that part about hell in it.

I don't know where he got it from, but I listened to so many of her preaching and did not find anything like false teachning or anything like that.

I think before we focus on something negative we're not sure about.....

Why don't we focus on the positive!!!!

How can she be "excellent" if she is teaching things that are not true?

Because there is nothing to be gained from ignoring problems. The Bible tells us to search the scriptures to know if what is being taught is true.

So you would have us just pretend all the stuff she teaches in direct opposition to the Bible doesn't exist for the sake of keeping a positive outlook? Sorry, no can do. She is leading people astray and taking big chunks of their money while she does it! There is a reason she is currently under congressional investigation to determine whether she has illegally used donations to finance her opulent lifestyle, ya know. Pathetic!

Well if she did something fraudulent, God is the judge and He can condemn her.

I can't judge her. I haven't seen anything negative from her nor can say that what has been said about her taking profits from donations to her luxurious lifestyle.

This is God's business!

How far is this congressional investigation??? Has she been taken to court or what????

God commands you, in His Word, to test (judge) her teachings in light of Scripture.

She is a false teacher and the video, audio, and written evidence/documentation for this charge is there for all to see. But if you continue to choose to ignore it, than that is your fault and you will be held responsible for such.

HERE...pay close attention to the other false teachers being investigated with her. Nice company she's in, huh? Oh, and her $23,000 commode...give me an everlovin' break!

Thankyou for the link. isn't it so hard to read. very sad. The point about jesus on a mule versus evangelists in private jets seems to hit the nail on the head.
23,000 commode is just wrong surely even if that money was not from donations to a good cause it's still an extravengance that is not easily justified.

There is nothing wrong with being well-off. But those evangelists tend to exaggerate and go overboard.

What aches me most is when they use those donations many trustful believers tithe and spend them on luxurious things like - in Joyce's case marble commode on the top floor on her company.

It's really sad to realize those Christians talk the talk....but not Walk the talk!!!
