where to begin........i'm divorced and am struggling with getting used to being single again. never could stand it much. i am very lonely and find myself spending hours walking around public places just to be around people. i need someone i can share my life with. on any type of level. none of my friends live around here so i have very little real interaction with people. i also am hoping to apply for a govt. program to get help getting a loan to purchase a house (rent is way too high where i live and a mortgage would be cheaper). i have been forced to crash with my parents and it feels like a prison sentence. i know i am supposed to pick one but these two are the most pressing at the moment. may GOD bless all of you.

I just moved out of my parents house after my divorce so I know how you feel about the prison sentence. Hang in there and if you want to chat feel free to PM me. *huggles*

I'm in the midst of a major spiritual battle right now - I've been expecting it, so it's nothing bad - just wanting a lot of clarity regarding my life.

SORRY...OUT OF PRACTICE, I GUESS. THIS IS SPECIFIC TO S4L's POSTINGS ABOUT HER BACK INJURY. (I HIT REPLY, NOT QUOTE. DUH!)
not to jump the gun...but my ex had 4 back surgeries...and his brother is a pain specialist. one thing to definitely ask about...perhaps after trying more conventional treatments...is implanting a morphine pump. it was the only thing that gave my ex any real relief. he was even able to go back to driving a truck full-time!
the pump is about the size of a hockey puck and unless you're very thin, doesn't even show under you belly. lol a line feeds directly into the spine, giving a continuous, VERY small dose of morphine into your system. and there isn't any of that morphine-druggy feeling. refilling pump is just a matter of injecting more morphine. (yup...with a regular ol' syringe...right into your belly. very simple. but since i don't much care for needles, i won't lie and say painless. lol)
just something you may want to check out. if you want to contact me via PM, i'd be glad to share my ex-brother-in-law's info and maybe your dr could contact him. my ex-b-i-l actually lectures at conferences for the pump manufacturer. he has patients come from around the world to have the implant done. very reputable physician...and can be a life-altering procedure.

please pray for grace and strength for me. i have to have a face-to-face with my ex-man today to get some of my things (he stored some things for me, has been using some of my furniture that doesn't really fit in my new little apartment, etc.). AND...i did the #1 no-no and loaned him money...which we've been discussing today. i really need him to pay that back, but know i can only ask God to soften his heart about that.
this is all so hard, because i don't want us to be over.

praying for you and your friend, lisa. the other day when i finally signed-on here...reading thru these requests was like a balm to my soul. to be able to focus on other's needs, instead of my own heartache. that was the first real peace i'd had in days.
