I went to my forums/my subscriptions like Mike suggested. The only unread thread on my list was "The Lion's Den". So I went to PFY, clicked on The Lion's Den, but it didn't clear it up.

Something tells me maybe it's the thread that was corrupted some time ago. I don't know what happened, Lioness would have to fill in there.

I did move that thread back out to the viewing area. Since there are no new posts it might be best to just unsub.

I wish I could, but there's no "unsubscribe" link. In fact, when I click on the little yellow thing in front of the name of the thread, what I get simply says Personally For You, it doesn't say what thread I'm in.

For what it is worth, folks, I had to do a new down load of my Firefox, to clear up my problem. Perhaps you should do the same. Mine works great again, and the update download of version 3.0x don't take very long to find out.

I have some problems using Firefox as well, so you're not alone. If I try to submit a post too soon after another post, and I get that message "you cannot post two consecutive posts in so short a time" or something like that, the "ok" button becomes inoperable and I have to completely back out of the post and start over again. I figure it's a Firefox thing and Fritz was unable to replicate it when I first started having problems. I just simply work around it now, though I don't usually post fast enough to come across the problem again.

At JFJ, when I post, the system puts me on a one minute 'time-out,' I guess, to keep people from spamming, or whatever. Perhaps this system has a 'no post time out' built into it. I don't have to worry too much, as I don't type as good, or fast, as I used to.

When you get that message, instead of trying to use the "OK", have you tried rightclicking on it and then clicking "Back"? That should actually bring you back to the message you typed, enabling you to try it again in a few seconds' time.

Thank you, Kath! It wasn't really a problem, but totally annoying!

It's not just a Firefox thing, it's a forums thing, because I had that problem with IE too. What I do is that I highlight my post, right click and click copy, so that if I get the "post too soon" or server error messages, then I can hit the back button and paste my post in, without retyping the whole thing in again. Saves time and lowers blood pressure!

I seem to be running into server errors again when I try to load a page or post, so I recommended that Salem Web Network forums get their own server, apart from other websites, so that this problem can be eliminated.

The profile update button returns an error page. Tried it through several portals with the same result. Thanks!

Having trouble deleting PM's. Keep getting server error message. Have to hit back button then delete, then yes or okay, to get it to delete messages.

The bug is back. I'm getting this -----------> This message has been deleted or moved, and therefore not available. message again when I try to pull up next unread subscription. It takes me to Health and Fitness forum, but no thread.

I just tried to get into the Mental Health Encouragement thread and getting same message. Logging out and back in didn't solve the problem either.

I have a hunch it has something to do with the Mental Health Encouragement thread. Kath fixed something similar not too long ago. Maybe she can again.

You might have to access it from the main health page, and go to the last page in the thread itself. I did delete about 4-5 posts in there, so it might be messed up for a while.

- Go to the thread some other way
- Unsubscribe
- Resubscribe

See if that works.

Hi ~

For some reason I can longer change my avatar....I just keep getting the message that there is a 'runtime error'....as though the whole thing had timed out.

Any suggestions or helpful hints?

Thanks!

It's broken, I told admin about it.

Forums own avatars are working though, so you can use one of those in the meantime. That's what I had to do.
