Status: offline 		I want to encourage everyone. Well I hope this is an ecouragement! My son, who is in the 3rd grade, has been learning the whole book of James since the beginning of the school year. Each week they have to memorize 3 verses and add to it the next week. The first week it is verses 1-3, next week 1-6 and so on. They are currently on chapter 3.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but we work on it every morning on the way to school.

So keep up the good work! If they can do it, you can do it too!

Status: offline 		Well, since I had memorized this at one point, I'm already quoting more than I'm reading. I've found it to be so good to have the Scripture right here to review as a game! It IS fun for me, and b/c it 'counts' (for putting a smiley in a post) if I simply read, it's not difficult at all!

When this thread has been here for a month, I plan to post chapter 2 for me and for anyone else who's interested--I plan to include a link to this thread in the first post, however, for those who 'drop in' but want to start at the beginning of the book.

Keep it up everyone!

And these times when you're reading the whole text will also help you later, when you're memorizing the other verses--it'll be like falling off a log 'cause you'll be so familiar with it!

Oh, and please don't feel rushed or overwhelmed when I post chapter 2--that's just b/c I personally am ready for it soon.... If or when you choose to go on, it'll be there for you.
