so my husband Jeff was on the phone earlier with Joe, one of his best friends from Washington (state). Joe is addicted to alcohol and has struggled for years. he knows there is something wrong and wants to quit but hasn't been able to beat it yet. part of this is because his g/f who lives with him is an alcoholic that DOESN'T want to stop drinking. so today he actually called Jeff (while he was drunk) and they started talking about the Lord which began with Joe, not Jeff - but then Jeff ended up leading him in the sinner's prayer to accept Jesus Christ, and told him that was the best first step he could take for ditching the booze, to give his life to God. please pray for Joe now and as often as you remember that he would be able to fix his mind on Christ, be filled with the Holy Spirit, begin to grow spiritually, and find strength through the Lord to overcome his bad habits. thanks!

Lord, I am so glad that Joe has opened his eyes and his heart to you Lord. Please help him with this addiction of alcohol. Please just remove it from his life, please just take over this situation and bring him peace, strength, comfort, and the wisdom he needs to understand your words Lord. Please protect him Lord and keep him close to you at all times.... amen kc

What an awesome thing to happen Lord! I remember reading a testimony years ago about an alcoholic who came home drunk and his adult daughter met him in the road and led him in the sinners prayer ... and he was a changed man from that moment. Father this is our prayer for Joe! We ask that he be changed from that moment. That rather than being filled with alcohol, he be filled with You! We ask in Jesus Name. We ask for Your mercy and touch on his gf too Father. Amen.

Father, Please help Joe. If he needs professional help, please work it out so he will get it and recover. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lord, we thank you for allowing Jeff to help his friend, Joe, come to Christ. We are so glad to have him begin his path towards a relationship with you. Now, God, please let the healing begin. Help Joe to stand strong and help to break his addition to alcohol. Help him to find support in his friends and family, and if necessary, seek the help of a support group or counciler who can help lead him from this terrible vice. I humbly pray this in the name of our Beloved Redeemer, your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
